Hosted in Parma, Italy, a UNESCO City of Gastronomy, ITKI US along with the TrusTTM Team participated in the GolaGola Food and People Festival which took place June 2nd – 4th, 2017.
In a unique exchange of gastronomic philosophies and cultures, chefs from around the world gathered together to prepare a meal. The delegates from the UCoG tasted new flavors and discovered new recipes and traditions associated with the dishes through the TRusTTM platform. Through an interactive menu and storytelling features, guests could discover the unique ingredients used by each UCoG. Ingredients could be tracked from field to table, providing the complete story behind their meal.
At the end of the UNESCO Dinner, Mr. Giuseppe Biagini, ITKIUS Founder, presented to the Mayor of Parma and the President of Parma Quality Restaurant Association (PQR), a symbol of appreciation for the commitment of the City and of the PQR Association to preserve Traditional Knowledge about local ingredients and recipes.
During the event, flyers and QrCode cards were distributed to the audience to provide more detailed information about the recipes, traceability and storytelling of the traditions of each UCoG.
